HockeyTron.com, one of the nation’s leading hockey equipment suppliers, has agreed to sponsor the San Diego Hosers Inline Hockey club. The Hoser’s new name will henceforth be the Tron Hosers. The Tron Hosers will soon begin play in the Pacific South Division of the American Inline Hockey league, considered by many the nation’s leading semi-pro inline hockey league. Once the AIHL season is over in April , The Tron Hosers plan to send teams to NARCh, TORHS, Jr. Olympics and other major inline hockey venues.
Former NHL and WHA player Joe Noris serves as the head coach for the Tron Hosers and stated “I am thrilled with the Tron/Hoser partnership and I believe both parties will greatly benefit from this arrangement. I’ve been using Tron skates, sticks and protective gear for over a year now and I find them to be the best value of any product I have ever used. “
Chris Malki, President and CEO of Tron Sports, issued this statement:
“Hockeytron is pleased to announce that it has reached a sponsorship agreement with the Hoser roller hockey club. The club has deep roots with a roller hockey history that goes back to the beginnings of the sport. We look forward to many championships together. “
The Tron Hosers are based at the Skate San Diego rink located in El Cajon and owned by Mr. Noris. The rink’s pro shop is currently being renovated to feature HockeyTron gear and will serve as a major outlet for Hockeytron. Tron Hoser’s AIHL season opening is January 25 th, from 9 AM - 4 PM at the Skate San Diego rink.
The Hoser roller hockey organization is one of the oldest inline hockey programs in the United States and was the first competitive roller hockey club to make the transition from the old school “quad” roller skates to the inline hockey skate twenty-five years ago. They are considered one of the pioneers of the modern day inline hockey sport.
